Our patient had an old failing dental bridge that had been in place for over 20 years. So, it came as no surprise to her when it fell out one day. For years, fear had held her back from going to the dentist. But she wanted to improve the appearance and longevity of her teeth.
A comprehensive assessment with photos and 3D imaging found multiple issues with her teeth, including missing teeth, old failing dental work, decay and gum loss. It was determined that the best approach would be to remove the damaged teeth in her upper and lower jaw and replace them with All-on-4.
The patient had her damaged teeth removed and four implants placed in each jaw while under twilight sedation. Soon after, she returned to the clinic so Dr Dunn could check the fit and appearance of her temporary tooth bridge, which she wore during her healing period. Six months later, she had her Signature tooth bridges fitted.
