Typically, two appointments are needed when getting a dental crown. Following your initial consultation, your dental crown treatment with Dr Dunn could look something like this.
First appointment
Dr Dunn prepares your tooth by removing a conservative amount of tooth structure. Impressions of your tooth are taken and used to craft your custom-made crown. In the meantime, a temporary crown is placed over the tooth to protect it until your next appointment.
Second appointment
Two to three weeks later, Dr Dunn will invite you back for your crown to be placed. The crown is carefully matched to the shape and colour of your other teeth. Most patients are able to return to work or their normal activities that same day.
