Your first step

Comprehensive consultation

Consultation RoomPrior to your initial consultation, you will be asked to complete a medical and dental history questionnaire. This information will assist us to understand the issues of relevance to your treatment.

The first step in your consultation with Dr Dunn is to discuss your dental concerns and treatment desires.

Following this discussion and a review of your medical and dental questionnaire, a comprehensive examination will be undertaken. This examination will be quite unlike any your have had completed in the past.

Your consultation investment includes:

  • A thorough soft tissue assessment
  • A detailed head and jaw joint examination
  • Complete tooth charting
  • A full mouth radiograph (OPG)
  • Small radiographs (if required)
  • Intraoral photographs
  • Diagnostic study models (if required)
  • A detailed treatment plan presentation

The most important part of this consultation process is the discussion of your treatment options and the presentation of a personalised treatment plan. Subject to the complexity of some individual cases, this may require a follow-up consultation (after discussion with specialists and further diagnostic assessment).

Personalised Treatment Report

The ultimate goal of the consultation process is to develop an individual treatment report that is consistent with your original treatment needs and desires. This personalised report will outline:

  • The planned treatment
  • Appointment timing
  • The fees for service
  • Details of our guarantee on selected treatments

Our patients find this process to be a very clear and thorough and it assists them in making a well informed decision about their treatment.
