Old crowns

Some of our patients have had dental crowns placed some time ago by other dentists and are unhappy with their appearance. Frequent complaints from these patients are that these crowns look opaque and have dark margins around them. This is largely due to the techniques and materials used to make the crowns. Here at The Macquarie Street Centre, we only use the latest porcelains, which biologically and aesthetic look fantastic in the mouth, and last for many years. Dr Dunn's training, expertise, and artistic eye ensure that all of our crowns look like real teeth.

Dental Crown Cost

The costs associated with dental crowns and bridges can vary dependant upon which materials and laboratories are used. At Macquarie Street Centre, we work with world renowned ceramists, using all ceramic and porcelain technology to achieve the very best results in aesthetics and functionality. A definitive fee estimate can be given at your consultation appointment with Dr Dunn.

Patient Testimonial

My whole experience with David, Charlie and the team was nothing short of a special experience. Strange as that sounds for a dental clinic, the personal attention and genuine passion and enthusiasm for making a difference in people's lives shines through from the moment you walk into the centre at Macquarie St. The results for me have been astounding- from being so self conscious and aware of my teeth to strangers stopping me in the street and commenting on my smile. It has been a major transformation in my life...

Patient Solution

Kathryn was in her early thirties and came to visit us from the Northern Territory. Her two front teeth which were crowns were very different in colour to the rest of her teeth, and were not the ideal shape. Kathryn underwent a combination of tooth whitening procedures, porcelain veneers, all-ceramic crowns and ceramic post for her root treated tooth, in order to achieve her results. Her two front teeth are now less bulky and have a far better matched shade to the rest of her teeth, it would now be hard to pick which teeth are crowns and which are her own!
