It wasn’t a complete surprise. That bridge had been fitted over 20 years prior. Michelle had known for a while it would probably need replacing soon but she’d been putting off a visit to the dentist.
Michelle is a trainer, and spends much of her professional life interacting with people face to face. She wanted a solution for her teeth that looked both aesthetic and natural, and she wanted it to last for years to come.
After many hours researching online, Michelle came across Macquarie Street Dental and the All on 4 treatment options. She downloaded the guide and decided to make an appointment with Dr Dunn.
Michelle lives on the north coast of NSW so she needed a dentist who could make this happen for her with minimal trips to Sydney.

- She was missing multiple teeth which had been replaced by poorly fitting bridges
- Tooth grinding put a lot of pressure on these bridges
- The old bridges were allowing bacteria to decay and weaken the underlying teeth
- Gum tissue loss around natural teeth making them appear longer
- Natural teeth had become discoloured, and old fillings were starting to stain and wear

TREATMENT PLAN OPTIONS
Dr Dunn presented Michelle with two treatment plan options:
Combination treatment plan
Rehabilitate all remaining teeth using a combination of root canal treatment, dental crowns, porcelain veneers and onlays. Replace missing teeth with dental implants. Due to bone loss over time, Michelle would need some bone grafting. Implant tooth roots would be placed in the jawbone, and Michelle would need to wait for the bone to heal before her new teeth could be fitted on top.

Replace all of Michelle’s teeth with four dental implants in the upper jaw and four dental implants in the lower jaw. Place Dr Dunn’s All on 4 Signature bridge on both the upper and lower jaw. At no time would Michelle be without a full set of teeth.
