Practice Policies
Appointment Times – Your appointment is reserved exclusively for you. We will endeavour to be on-time, and would appreciate your punctuality. For new patients, we would appreciate if you would arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to your designated appointment, so that we may introduce you to our practice and obtain appropriate medical histories and contact information.
Cancellation of Appointments – If you are unable to keep your appointment we would appreciate two business days notice. Due to the high demand for appointments at our practice we charge a fee for missed appointments or those cancelled with less than two business days notice. If you are unable to keep an appointment, it is quite likely that you will have to wait for some time before a replacement appointment can be scheduled.
Health insurance funds - We will itemise your invoice so you can gain the appropriate insurance entitlements . As you might appreciate, we deal with numerous health insurance companies and each varies with what they will and won't rebate. Whilst we will assist in every way possible to ensure your proper entitlement, please note that the relationship is solely between you and your health insurance provider.
Financial Arrangements - Payment is required on the day of treatment. In most cases, a treatment plan will be provided, which details your upcoming treatment, the time frame of this treatment and the fees for service. Our practice accepts payments by cash, cheque, EFTPOS and most credit cards. For your added convenience we also offer Hicaps, so you do not need to visit your health fund branch to receive your entitlements.
Photographic records - During your treatment procedures, digital photography will often be utilised to provide baseline data and communication with our dental laboratory. These images may also be used by Dr Dunn for lecture and other educational purposes, with your prior consent.
Privacy - All patient information is handled with the strictest of confidence. No records will be forwarded to anyone else, without your specific written consent. Please note that all radiographic records remain the property of the Macquarie Street Centre for Implant & Aesthetic Dentistry.
