Anterior Implant Bridge – Case 1

Ms W came to us with a considerable dental history. She had lost her four upper front teeth from a very young age, and since then had had to deal with the issues associated with a removable partial denture. This not only affected her appearance, but also speech, ability to eat certain foods and most importantly – self confidence! Although her current partial denture was quite comfortable, in terms of implant placement it was not ideal, and so a new diagnostic denture was constructed for 3D Cat Scans to be taken, to then accurately predict ideal implant placement based on tooth position.
Dr Dunn placed two implants to support the four missing teeth, with a small amount of bone grafting required to insure implant integration. In the interim, the patient required a partial denture, until we could complete a provisional acrylic implant bridge, and then finally an all-ceramic implant retained bridge.
A number of ‘try-ins’ were completed when constructing this final ceramic bridge, to ensure that Dr Dunn – and importantly the patient - were happy with the final aesthetics of the bridge. Upon the insertion of the bridge, our patient was elated to finally have a fixed replacement of these teeth – something she had been waiting over 30 years to enjoy!
