All Ceramic Crowns – Case 1

Mrs W had come to Dr Dunn after seeing his article in Cosmetic Surgery Magazine. She was impressed by his results and wanted to see Dr Dunn for an opinion on how to improve her smile.

At the time, she was unhappy with her appearance and had been suffering at the hands of ‘patch-up’ dentistry for many years. Her upper right front tooth had previously been root canal treated, however an area of new infection meant that replacing the tooth with an implant was the most ideal solution.

Fortunately, this did not delay her treatment, as while the implant was healing following placement, we were able to continue with treatment in other areas of her mouth, including all ceramic crowns on her upper and lower molar teeth. These teeth had been heavily filled with amalgam and had fractures throughout; meaning further issues could arise if left untreated.

Now all of her teeth look as though they have been untouched and she has a beautiful smile to fill her with confidence – and even better, dentistry has become a simple twice-yearly visit with our dental hygienist and Dr Dunn!
